About Matt

Matt was born and raised in the Berkshires. He grew up in Richmond, went to Berkshire School for High School and then moved out to Boston to study Finance and Entrepreneurship at Babson College. 

After graduating college, Matt stayed in Boston where he began his career in venture lending / finance for Silicon Valley Bank. He then transitioned to work in business development for a technology company in the Seaport.

Ultimately, Matt’s interests in high growth start-ups and real estate landed him with Own Up – a technology company based out of Boston that provides access to residential home financing with a focus on providing a more transparent and streamlined shopping experience for consumers looking for a mortgage.

In addition to being licensed as a realtor, Matt is a licensed mortgage loan originator and has helped facilitate financing for approximately 200 refinances and 100 home purchase transactions.

Matt is passionate about making the process of purchasing and selling homes more navigable and seamless for individuals / families. He is mindful about the unique set of needs every scenario brings and strives to provide highly tailored experiences and build deep relationships with his customers.
