Mary grew up in Ireland and came to Boston as a teenager. She graduated from Nazareth High School and married John White. They came to live in New Marlborough in 1960.

She helps guide 20 agents with her expertise and years of knowledge.  She has been a realtor since 1980, a broker since 1982, and owner of Barnbrook Realty Corp since 1984. She also served on the Berkshire County Board of Realtors and was a licensed real estate appraiser from 1990- 2016. She was a member of the Southern Berkshire Housing Coalition, and member of the New Marlborough Planning Board. She was the Vice President of Construct, Inc. a housing service organization in southern Berkshire County.

Mary serves on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club and has been awarded the Paul Harris award. She serves on The Thursday Morning Club Board of Directors as well as a member of The Fairview Hospital Gala Committee.
